During the winter months, our team successfully completed a full pond restoration project at Chapel Avenue Cemetery in North East London. The project involved a complete desilt, full reline, remodelling of the existing cascade, fish rescue and reintroduction, and the installation of a new floating fountain system.
The pond was carefully drained and all fish were safely removed prior to the works beginning. Once the restoration was complete, the fish were successfully returned back into the pond.
The original liner was removed and replaced using a 1mm EPDM liner system, which was joined on site to suit the bespoke layout of the pond. Existing rock features and materials were reused wherever possible to retain the natural character of the site while improving the overall structure and finish.
The project also included reshaping and rebuilding the cascade area, installation of a new floating fountain, and extensive landscaping works around the pond perimeter. Despite the challenging winter conditions, the project was delivered successfully and completed to a high standard by the team.
