We’ve recently completed a careful refurbishment of the pond at 10 Downing Street, installing a new liner and giving this well-known wildlife feature a fresh lease of life. Originally created in 2007 as part of a garden makeover led by The Wildlife Trust—with support from Blue Peter presenter Matt Baker and the programme’s gardening team—the pond was designed to be a safe, nature-friendly habitat in the heart of central London. While often associated with Blue Peter, it’s the Wildlife Trust who led its creation, continuing a legacy of encouraging urban biodiversity in one of the UK’s most iconic gardens.
