The Ivel team were to create habitat beds which comprised of hazel brushwood faggots suspended using chestnut posts alongside deep sided margins on two established pools in Somerset. The main reasons being to provide more flowering aquatic plants to support dragonfly species. The habitat bed also provided great refuge areas for amphibians, juvenile fish and eventually small mammals.
The Plants were contract grown coir pallets that contained specific plant mixes.
